Hywel Williams
Founder / Director
Hywel grew up in Cardiff and developed an interest in numbers from an early age. He studied Accountancy and Finance at Exeter University and, following his graduation, joined the PwC graduate scheme in Cardiff where he achieved the ACA qualification in 2007. During his time at PwC, Hywel was fortunate to work across a range of clients in different sectors and this experience provided a solid foundation for a career in industry.
Hywel has held a variety of qualified finance roles in businesses ranging from FTSE 100 companies to smaller privately-owned businesses. In 2011 Hywel and an ex-colleague Matt Wakerley joined forces to create Clarius Finance, a finance consultancy business which grew rapidly and was acquired by the Inspiretec Group in 2016.
Following a stint as Head of Finance at the Inspiretec Group, Hywel left the business in 2018 and devoted his time and energy towards the creation and growth of H1 Finance. Hywel is our resident technology expert, a self-confessed Excel addict always looking to use technology and systems to deliver the best solutions for his clients.
Outside of work, Hywel is a proud father of two and enjoys nothing more than travelling and seeking out new experiences with his family. When he finds a moment for himself, Hywel is an enthusiastic runner and follower of sport especially rugby, cricket, tennis and football.
Ben Ramadan
Director
Ben grew up in Cardiff and his finance journey began by working within the family business. His interest is numbers was further developed by his degree in Mathematics and he graduated from USW in 2006. From there he worked at Inspiretec Group (with Hywel) where we worked his way up from Finance Assistant into various senior management roles.
With over 15 years of experience in finance, commercial roles, and project management, Ben has carved out a niche for himself, particularly within software development organizations. Throughout his career he has developed a passion for making operations more efficient and forging strong client relationships along the way.
Ben’s journey through the finance landscape has been diverse, working with various organizations and constantly enhancing his skillset. At H1 Finance, Ben is our go-to person for reporting and management accounts, using his understanding of our clients to produce the reports they need to run their businesses.
Beyond the confines of the office, Ben is an avid explorer of life’s many adventures. He loves to travel and explore new places with his family and cheer on his sons’ rugby teams, now that his own playing days are behind him.
Nardina Stock
Head of Accounting Services
Nardina is ACCA qualified with over 20 years’ experience in a variety of finance roles in both practice and industry. Her early career included roles in Technology, Manufacturing and Leisure and saw her progress to Financial Controller roles before she made the switch to managing a portfolio of clients.
Nardina has worked in the outsourced finance sector since 2010 and has partnered with H1 Finance since its inception. She thrives on getting to know her clients in detail and understanding how they work, delivering an outstanding service at all times.
She is a true all-rounder, covering all areas of finance from bookkeeping and payroll through to reporting and forecasting. Her knowledge of Xero is second to none and alongside this she has developed an in-depth understanding of e-commerce and stock recording systems that integrate with Xero.
Outside of work Nardina is a busy mum of three, regularly on taxi duty for her kids for their various clubs and activities. She always seeks to find the right balance between work and spending time with her family, as well as finding time for fitness, eating out and socialising.
Korinna Szerdahelyi
Accounts Assistant
Korinna grew up in Budapest, Hungary and her first job in Finance was with a local accountancy practice where she worked on a wide variety of business and personal accounts, which paved the way for her career in accountancy. From here she worked across a range of industries in different roles before joining the team in 2022.
Korinna is able to cover a multitude of different jobs within the business, she has a keen eye for detail, whether it’s managing the bookkeeping side of clients or more complex compliance-related tasks.
She is always keen to learn new skills and systems, and introduce these to client work. Constantly looking for ways to improve client processes by using Xero and connected apps.
Outside the office Korinna is a keen traveller and is always seeking out new experiences and adventures with her family. Her interests include baking, reading and music.
Cameron Symonds
Accounts Assistant
Cameron is the newest member of our team, joining H1 Finance in 2023. This is Cameron’s first role in finance leading on from her first class honours degree in Accountancy from Cardiff University, and she is currently studying towards her professional accountancy qualification.
Cameron is involved with the day-to-day activities of our clients, covering a wide range of services from bookkeeping to invoicing to payroll. Cameron loves to getting to know our clients and how they operate in order to deliver the best possible service.
Her professional toolkit includes expertise in Excel, management accounts, bookkeeping, credit control, payroll, and Xero, all of which she uses on a daily basis to support our clients effectively
Beyond the numbers, she likes to find balance in yoga, adventure in travel, and joy in socializing with friends.
